I am pleased to contribute to the growth and on-going success of the IT/GIS Team at the Town of Ajax. I will be raising the tides while sharing and learning.

Having worked with organizations of all sizes from small municipalities to state DOTs, we provide expert level GIS consulting and implementations for all things Esri. Additionally we're building a collection of tailored solutions that can provide added value to existing datasets, or act as a blueprint for groundup execution and development.

As the first GIS Staff for the Town of Orangeville, I spearheaded the implementation of invaluable corporate data connections, streamlining data access for both internal staff and the public. Over the course of seven years, I orchestrated a remarkable transformation, turning Orangeville from a municipality without any GIS presence to a dynamic hub of innovation. My efforts resulted in numerous accolades and awards, recognizing the outstanding applications and overall excellence of our municipal GIS initiatives.During this period, I lead the establishment of daily field data collections, curated a library of 100+ web apps, implemented process improvements through FME automations, championed open data initiatives, and coded data.orangeville.ca. One of the highlights of my tenure was mentoring Laura Bernardi, whom I met as a promising student and had the privilege of guiding through full-time status and beyond. Together, we formed a powerhouse team, collaborating on major projects that culminated in Laura earning the prestigious People's Choice Award at BeSpatial '23—a distinction that had eluded me until then. It was this learning experience that has destined me to raise all tides wherever I find myself, and never just saying so.

I worked with a highly skilled and diverse GIS team at York Region. My focus was on developing and maintaining end user Geocortex, Voyager, and ArcGIS Online applications. This included many internal web mapping applications staff utilized daily, and public sites such as Open Data, and other informational spatial references. I also managed the many tile and feature services we shared through ArcGIS Server.

Some of my many successes at North Frontenac include engendering formal IT policies, implementing many enhanced web and GIS applications, and improving the Township's IT/GIS capabilities while providing regular IT/GIS training and support for both staff and Council. In addition, I have completed many projects including creating and maintaining the Township’s geodatabase, producing highly refined mapping products such as creating the first detailed and publicly distributed municipal road/reference map using a novel ArcGIS and Adobe Illustrator combination, implementing webGIS tools and references to the municipal and tourism websites that I maintain, and creating the municipality’s website from the ground up utilizing a variety of free and open-source resources and the hard coding of common web languages, all of which were much needed and have been very well received.
