Evan A. Shields is Founder, CEO & Managing Partner of Indelible Capital Partners, an impact-driven real estate investment and advisory firm, proudly based in Miami, Florida. IndeliCap is on a mission to sponsor $1.0 B in real estate investments the next decade, with an indelible impact on our world. IndeliCap today is focused on build-to-rent acquisitions and development across the Southeast U.S. Evan is a business leader, educator and public servant, charged to drive indelible impact for underinvested communities. As an executive, he has led the investment, development or asset management of more than $4.0 Billion in institutional commercial real estate across every major property type, 30 U.S. metro areas, and a variety of fund structures. His work specifically in affordable housing has helped house more than 22,000 low-income seniors and families across 16 U.S. states. Prior to founding Indelible, Evan served as Chief Operating Officer for a Miami-based middle-market investment firm focused on workforce housing, solar and infrastructure development. He has also held executive leadership roles in institutional capital markets, investor relations and acquisitions with New York- and Miami-based firms, including: BridgeInvest, a leading institutional real estate debt fund, R4 Capital, one of the U.S.’ top affordable housing LIHTC and TEBs syndicators, and PGIM Real Estate, the global real estate business of Prudential. Evan graduated from the University of Virginia, where he completed a distinguished major in Political & Social Thought. Both Indelible’s founding and Evan’s career have been inspired by his undergraduate fourth year thesis at UVa, “Minority Entrepreneurship & Economic Development: Toward A Model of Capital Access”. After college, Evan began his career as a high school math teacher with Teach For America, becoming the third-generation in his family to serve in low-income schools. He went on to earn an MBA with a full-tuition scholarship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill - Kenan-Flagler Business School, with concentrations in Real Estate, Corporate Finance and Social Entrepreneurship. Evan resides in North Miami with his wife Dr. Adolphia Lauture-Shields, an OB-GYN and their one-year old daughter Josephine. Outside of Indelible, he chairs the City of North Miami’s Affordable Housing Advisory Commission, and serves on the board of Miami’s Next Leaders, Teach For America Miami-Dade, the Greater North Miami Chamber of Commerce and the North Miami Board of Adjustment.
