The American Legal Alliance ("ALA") connects clients with law firms nationwide using social media, Internet and video marketing. ALA was one of the first organizations to use the Internet to create national alliances of law firms and market to clients nationally. ALA still markets law firms nationally to clients using the latest innovative marketing techniques and technology. ALA also connects law firms into alliances to jointly represent mass tort and other individual clients.

Organized national alliances of law firms to represent plaintiffs in mass tort cases.I was one of the founders of the American Legal Alliance (ALA), which was one of the first groups of lawyers to offer legal services and information to consumers over the Internet. Our law firms represented thousands of consumers involving recalled drugs, medical devices, and other dangerous products. I was primarily in charge of ALA websites, in addition to other duties. We used the ALA websites to educate consumers in order to prevent injuries, in addition to using the websites as an online marketing tool for the ALA firms.

Startup focused on what we refer to as Law 3.0. We develop mobile legal apps, legal technology and systems (including innovative marketing) to help lawyers adapt their practices to the 21st Century.

In the year 2000, after 20 years of serving as plaintiffs’ counsel in complex and class action litigation, I moved my entire legal practice from bricks and mortar to the Internet. I recruited lawyers to create the first nationwide network of lawyers representing plaintiffs in mass tort cases for victims of defective prescription drugs and medical devices. We expanded to 42 states and recovered over $50 million for clients. During this time, I also used the Internet for environmental and consumer activism.After the 2016 presidential election I changed my primary focus from law to information warfare and fighting “fake news” in the political arena. I also engage in some litigation and legal marketing.

Mike creates and consults on social media and online marketing for law firms. Organizes nationwide law firm networks tied together with the latest cloud technology. Mike uses the Internet to generates leads for law firms, and provides cloud services to facilitate law firms and groups of solo lawyers to obtain clients from the Internet, and to allow firms to work together by using the Internet to facilitate their legal marketing. Mike helps lawyers use cloud service so the lawyers can harness the speed and power of the Internet. Mike is also a serial entrepreneur and technology nerd.

Evans also provides strategic consultation, legal advice, professional ethics opinions and representation to law firms dealing with issues involving online legal advertising.

In January 2013 my law firm, the Law Offices of Michael J. Evans, formed a joint venture with Birmingham law firms Yearout & Traylor, P.C. and Gathings Law to help Alabama and West Florida companies file BP claims to get paid from the BP Settlement. Any business of any type located anywhere in Alabama or the West Coast of Florida is eligible for a payment if gross revenues decreased significantly during 2010 and certain other revenue tests are met. Evans, Yearout & Traylor and Gathings Law are working together with accountants to process claims for Alabama businesses. There is no charge unless our law firms recover money for your company.

I create legal marketing campaigns designed to generate leads for lawyers, with an emphasis on mass torts. I plan and produce TV ads and online videos for legal marketing campaigns. I also create social media/new media marketing strategies using blogs, Facebook, Twitter and other cutting edge technologies. Part of my job involves search engine optimization (SEO) with respect to blogs and online videos used in marketing campaigns.

At Longshore, Evans & Longshore, P.C. I was a trial lawyer who represented consumers in products liability litigation, class actions, and other complex litigation. I was lead counsel in several cases that resulted in several multi-million dollar judgments and settlements.

I was a trial attorney representing plaintiffs in personal injury lawsuits and consumers in consumer credit class actions.

I was an associate at a litigation firm, where I worked primarily on plaintiffs' litigation. I handled both personal injury and class action litigation.
