Solving problems and communicating solutions is my passion. I work in a small IT Support team for a large customer service centre, which services a wide variety of international brands. I work closely with my colleagues to resolve whatever IT issues might arise. I assist with IT troubleshooting, following up on issues in ServiceNow, and effectively communicating with the centre and relevant global teams when necessary. I handle access issues and assist with keeping our centre in line with data privacy laws. A technophile with a Master of Arts in ancient literature, I have lectured on Greek and Roman history, and written web content for construction companies. I love researching both the esoteric and the mundane, and making the results of that research accessible to a wider public. I am adept at editing and proofreading texts by those who are unaccustomed to writing in English.I have experience in teaching foreign students at university level, and have acquired a TEFL qualification that I might better assist those who wrestle with those vagaries that the English-speaking world takes for granted. To date, I have worked with a wide range of clients, from Italian PhD students to Malaysian content writers. Sometimes I sleep.
