Network Engineer
Current• Network Engineer – Construct network solutions to accomplish customer's needs while normalizing and conforming to architectural designs. Analyze, monitor, and solve connectivity challenges.• WAN/LAN Refreshes - Standardize rack layout, cabling and device configurations while performing network refreshes; create Bill of Materials, network logical & physical diagrams, port maps, and VLAN schemas. Configure the new equipment, propose and execute the cut-over plan. Implement WiFi First and WiFi Only at designated sites. DIA circuit refresh with vender consolidation.• Routing - Update ACLs and routing advertisements; local static, OSPF distributed to BGP, and SD-WAN OMP.• Cloud Migration – Assist the new architect with design of new AWS VPCs and CIDR block assignments. Network support for on-premises to VPC and VPC to VPC migrations. Multi-cloud connectivity to support data center exit.• Zscaler ZPA Zero Trust Implantation – Work with Security team to develop a new remote connectivity solution that conforms to SCCM regulations. Assist the new architect and Security to stand up ZPA App Connectors. Test, troubleshoot, and cut-over users to the new solution.• CMMC Level 2 Compliance – Collaborate, document, and remediate for certification audit discoveries. Logically migrate and isolate legacy OT devices and CUI computers.• Upgrades - Complete code maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, Wireless Controllers, and other applications to stay on current versioning.• Decommission of hardware - Wipe configurations and coordinate un-racking and e-waste of hardware.
