Commissioning lead managing startup activities of mechanical, electrical, and automation equipment on natural gas compressor stations, later expanding into development of document creation automation and providing basic IT management.• Equipment and systems include valves and operators, regulation, filters, turbine and reciprocating compressors, medium and low voltage systems (converters, VFDs, switchgear), large motors, gas dehydration systems, programable logic controllers (PLC) and… Show more Commissioning lead managing startup activities of mechanical, electrical, and automation equipment on natural gas compressor stations, later expanding into development of document creation automation and providing basic IT management.• Equipment and systems include valves and operators, regulation, filters, turbine and reciprocating compressors, medium and low voltage systems (converters, VFDs, switchgear), large motors, gas dehydration systems, programable logic controllers (PLC) and control philosophy, networks, and instrumentation such as transmitters and switches.• Built datasheets of equipment to be commissioned using drawings of electrical, mechanical, P&ID’s, and automation drawings for natural gas compressor stations.• Coordinate with project team members, construction management, site operations, and third-party vendors to determine and schedule necessary commissioning activities.•Conducted weekly and daily commissioning meetings discussing recent activity, planning for upcoming activities, and current issues and concerns to address.• Provided regular reports to all internal and external project stakeholders.• Provide on-site support to assist construction in pre-commissioning to ensure equipment is ready for commissioning by identifying potential problems for construction to correct prior to startup. This lead to reduced delays and costs due to issues such as incorrect installs, missing components, drawing errors, etc.• Documented commissioning activities and gathered any relevant reports and certifications of the equipment, service provided, and qualifications of the technicians/engineers involved.• Greatly improved documentation creation efficiency by developing macros to transfer equipment data from Excel to fill out Word document checksheets for each equipment, significantly reducing time spent manually filling out forms.• Setup and maintained server for file storage, backup and VPN for remote access of all files for employees in the field.
