About Evan Strome

Media has always been something deeply fascinating, even nourishing, to me. Even as a kid, I found myself drawn to culture magazines and political news shows that, admittedly, may have been a little out of my league at the time. But it was working in film and TV production that I started to get a closer understanding of what media really is—what it means, how it works, and why it’s so important. I realized that while we might associate media with the news, or the film business (or any other slice of that larger whole) in reality, media is about connection—and that is about trust. It doesn’t matter whether it’s an award-winning food show or a breaking news segment, the core of media is working as hard as possible to show your audiences that what you’re offering is authentic, original and worthy of their attention. That’s a high bar, but what you see throughout the history of media is that when you meet it, your content resonates with audiences, not in a one-off spike but in a way that creates and fosters meaningful relationships. Whether it was a particularly fascinating magazine article, a documentary film, or the daily news, the sense that you’ve entered into a relationship with the author, the brand, or the presenter is a rare and enriching feeling. My vision is to help foster a kind of media that takes this feeling—of engaging in a relationship founded in trust—as its point of departure. We’re at a delicate point for our culture, and for the world in general. Despite the uncertainty, I know the future for media is bright. We’re on the frontier of big new changes for culture and society that’s scary, but very exciting mainly because the opportunities are so powerful. It’s my personal and professional privilege to be at the center of this swirl of change. evan@high10media.com | www.high10media.com | @h10media#MarketingStrategy #ExecutiveConsulting #ContentStrategy #BrandMarketing #PublicRelations
