I attended Tri-country technical college in 2016 to earn a welding technology degree. After school, I worked at Watson Engineering as a production mig welder. In the beginning of 2018, I hit the road for my first industrial construction job with Century Industrial Contractors. I quickly learned how to install a variety of different pipe and supports for several air, gas, and water systems. In the summer of that same year, I became employed with Crowder Construction and started working at several different Duke Energy power plant locations. I have been apart of many different upgrade and new equipment installs. A few years were spent on an external maintenance team at Lee combined cycle. We completed many mechanical and electrical task as needed for the plant. Working maintenance allowed me to learn the industry in other areas than welding.
