I'm a PhD-trained Earth scientist and paleontologist with over 10 years of experience communicating science to broad audiences. I'm a passionate science educator with nearly a decade of formal teaching experience, directly reaching more than 700 science students at multiple state universities/colleges and public schools across the country. My passion for science education has led me to a career in educational technology and curriculum design, in which I'm working to create high-quality science educational products for millions of users around the world.I'm an accomplished research scientist and writer with 3 academic theses and 6 peer-reviewed scholarly journal publications, collectively cited over 50 times by other researchers. I'm proficient in scientific data collection, curation, and analysis, myriad quantitative/statistical research methods, multiple 3D/CT scanning and visualization techniques, GIS applications, and scientific fieldwork. My research interests focus on the morphology, ecology, and biogeography of modern and fossil reptiles, as well as their relationships with climates and environments through time.I'm also heavily involved in public outreach, having volunteered and worked at multiple museums and nonprofits over the course of my undergraduate and graduate education. As such, I'm invested in broadening public interest and engagement in science and conservation by inspiring people of all ages to care and be curious about the Earth, its environments, its biodiversity and natural history, and beyond.
