I managed and provided the geophysical services at Cook Costello with the commitment to output high-quality geophysical data and data analysis that have a positive impact on the clients‘ projects.

I was providing shallow (0-50 m deep) non-invasive geophysical services to the engineering and environmental industries. The services included;- Shear wave velocity testing for seismic site classification (e.g., Vs,30)- Geological site characterisation (2D & 3D)- Void detection and mapping (large or small scale)- Groundwater and bedrock profiling and mappingTypical projects I have provided ground information to:- Port Infrastructure Seismic Resilience Assessment- Large Scale Commercial and Residential Developments- Void Detection Scans for Insurances- Power Infrastructure Site Suitability Assessments- State Highway Seismic Design Inputs- Groundwater Resource Evaluations- Mining Resource and Void Mapping- Railway Ballast Thickness Assessments

I managed all field and laboratory work, processed large temporal data sets (3 years of monitoring data), gave presentations to a variety of stakeholders, engaged with local and regional councils in NZ for site access, secured financial funds, and of course, wrote a reasonably large report at the end of it.

I developed and extended various MATLAB programs for geophysical interpretation aid and databases, processed and interpreted land and marine seismic data for different oil & gas, environmental and engineering projects, and wrote reports as required.

I developed a geophysical inversion code for DC resistivity data and integrated it into the Fortran based software package EMILIA. I was also the principal electromagnetic data scientist for a large-scale multi-method geophysics project (CARNEVAL) and contributed to report writing.

A two-month internship with hands-on land seismic and GPR data collection and processing for various environmental and engineering projects (road inspections, geothermal energy exploration). I helped writing reports and gave a presentation to the engineering geophysics team about seismic refraction modelling.
