Managed direct reports and cross-functional teams. Negotiated joint development agreements and licenses.• Developed printed in-mold film “E900Grafx” product, offering styling flexibility at very low tooling cost. Introduced to very aggressive OEM timeline resulting in new program.• Established a portfolio of five processes and four materials, from concept to invention, from prototyping to industrialization. Filed over 15 patents for black-out printing, defroster application and functionality, and finishing, securing a decisive intellectual property advantage, resulting in the first commercial use of Exatec “E900” technology.• Leveraged partnerships to establish a global supplier network for industrialization of Exatec printing technologies. Negotiated licensing agreements with local and global equipment and tooling suppliers.• Built activity based cost model for technology and commercial teams, analyzing process and product cost, resulting in focused technology projects and quick turnaround of accurate quotes.• Developed calculation model to quantify molding and coating influence on optical distortion. Supported European-wide commercial teams as SME for welding, assembly and bonding, responsible for all industries across all product lines. Contributed to strategic programs in Automotive, Building & Construction, Medical, and Consumer Products markets. Supervised technicians and university student interns.• Implemented material-specific weld designs for instrument panels and trunk lids, enabling cost effective vibration welding of dissimilar materials, and behind class A surfaces.• Led the development of automotive exterior body panel fixings which control thermal expansion, enabling on-line attachment before E-coat, eliminating a costly secondary painting process. This breakthrough resulted in multiple commercial fender programs.• Spearheaded introduction of AZDEL freight container flooring in test fleet, from application development through global training, proving material fit for this high volume market.• Appointed member of global Application Review Team, screening new applications for product liability risks. Developed and led training seminars for European commercial teams.
