About Eve Brunson

A passionate, dedicated advocate for the medical laboratory sciences with over 30+ years of clinical laboratory, regulatory, quality assurance, education, and leadership experience.Established a workforce development firm providing continuing education, certification exam preparation and career counseling services for medical laboratory professionals. I served as an industry expert on topics related to blood banking, supply chain management, quality management, and process improvement. I authored and published a self-study guide and just-in-time study aids for laboratory personnel that were sold internationally and am regarded as a national expert for the evaluation and accreditation of specialist in blood banking (SBB) programs, medical laboratory technician programs (MLT) and medical laboratory science program (MLS) throughout the United States. As Director for Workforce Development, Education and Training I created GPO University and served as its founding director. I managed a $2.5 million training budget of appropriated and nonappropriated funding. I led the development of an extensive quality management curriculum to train employees in supply chain management, 5S, lean manufacturing, good manufacturing practices, writing standard operating procedures, auditing basics which led to the passport division award ISO 9001 certification.At the Dept. of Health and Human Services, I was appointed as the Director of Leadership Development in which I led a team responsible for oversight of HHS 8 career development programs, including SES Candidate Development Program, Emerging Leaders, and Presidential Management Fellows. I led teams in hiring 1,700+ interns annually while delivering innovative, cutting-edge workforce development solutions to more than 65,000 HHS employees.I am certified as a MLT, MLS and SBB by ASCP and hold CQA and CMQ/OE certification by ASQ. I served as clinical lab inspector/auditor for CAP and AABB. I held adjunct faculty appointments at George Washington University, Bowling Green State University, and authored over 20 abstracts and presented at national and international meetings.

The program was awarded five year accreditation the maximum allowed.
