I proposed a story telling project to Alaska Geographic that was centered around making climate change a more tangible issue. Despite having concrete science, most people are unable to connect the numbers with what will actually happen as the result of climate change. I recorded what Alaskans are already experiencing as a result of out changing climate. Some of my interviews were video, and others were written, depending on how I was able to interact with them. During my time with Alaska Geographic, I created nine stories, mostly from people within my community of Sterling Alaska. I have continued my project since the completion of my proposal, and continue to interview people whenever possible.

As a Senate Page, I shared classified information between Senators and their staff when needed and prepared the Senate chamber for daily sessions. This included setting up the main desk, and placing the necessary documents on all senate desks. I also distributed documents throughout the capitol every morning, to ensure that every office was aware of the senate's schedule for the day, as well as the bills being discussed. I also provided support services for senators during sessions, including transporting senators speeches to be included in the Congressional record. My main focus in this position was to advocate for Ballot Measure 1, a measure designed to update the permitting process for any development projects that would affect anadromous bodies of water. Most of my efforts were centered around gathering commit to vote cards from the community. I performed door to door canvassing, as well as tabling at community events. I utilized the Voter Action Network, and trained other volunteers on how to canvass, and use the Voter Action Network. I worked with Cook Inlet Keeper, another local environmental non- profit to put on an event that lined up with Wild Salmon Day. The event had a local band, food and drinks for attendees, and a booth designed to educate about the Ballot measure, gather donations and commit to vote cards.
