As a Shift Manager at Subway, I had to face new responsibilities and challenges that I hadn’t previously encountered in my professional life. As I oversaw day to day operation of the store, I had to learn all parts of the shop inside and out including the stock, the procedures for frequent tasks as well as unforeseen circumstances and most importantly the employees I’d be supervising. Having the ability to think on my feet was extremely crucial to the role as each day could have unique challenges that would need quick and effective solutions.Role Achievements· Managing and coordinating my team in order to maintain high standards of service. Moreover, achieving higher sales than previous years through implementing new up-selling techniques.· Completely daily cash drops which involved securely counting all the cash inside of the building accurately and safely. This task especially needs to be completed with a high level of attention to detail as well as a high level of trust built up within the business.· Ensuring that the store met both operational and standards and the compliance with health and safety standards. Both these included checks from officials outside of the store and required the store to be held to inspection ready standard at any time.

A crucial member of the culinary team, providing both excellent fresh food and charming customer service. I created high-quality dishes with a keen eye for detail, producing tasty falafel, hummus and a range of other cuisines while maintaining a hygienic workspace. Helping customers by guiding them through our menu of food and juices was a significant part of the role. A high priority within the company was creating a personalised experience for each customer and generating that ‘Friday feeling’. I accomplished this by cooperating with the kitchen, bar and front of the house. I carried out several roles during my time. My primary responsibility was providing a positive and dynamic experience ensuring that the customer received a high standard product.
