Eve Smith began consulting in 2000 in the luxury brand sector providing business development, brand management, and buying services for both emerging designers and top retailers. Eve recently consulted for Creatures of the Wind, 2012 winners of the CFDA / Vogue Fashion Fund for womens ready to wear. She has also worked with clients including B Romanek, Annelore, and Proenza Schouler, in addition to providing luxury buying consulting for stores such as Linda Dresner in New York, Harvey Nichols in London and Lane Crawford in Hong Kong. After several years working with major established fashion houses such as Donna Karan and theory, Eve began her consulting practice, working with emerging ready to wear, accessory and shoe designers to evaluate their image, pricing, and fit, in order to launch their product in leading stores domestically and abroad in a highly competitive market. Buying consulting for top stores took into consideration overseas marketability of new product once priced to reflect shipping and import costs, while also keeping clients abreast of top emerging designers.
