We, as an educational institute, have a responsibility to send out our students well prepared, especially when they are going to countries in the Global South. There is a lot of information about pre-departure courses out this project combines the information we already have with online tests and a physical meeting. As the after departure is usually overlooked, we will pay special attention to planning meetings with students upon their return. The course will be combination of theoretical information, a quiz, physical meetings and an online platform.

Internationalisation in higher education is an important aspect. Our students and future leaders need to be global citizens. The International Office works hard to be able to address the needs of our students and researchers and remain an important player in this field. My role is making sure the needs of the students (incoming and outgoing) are met, the relationship with our partner institutions remains stable, and to expand our current contacts. At the same time networking within and outside the organization is a important aspect of the job. I am trying to connect all the dots and take the internationalisation a step further.

Chairing a group of professional colleagues in the field of internationalisation at medical faculties is a challenge but also a priveledge. It is rewarding to share experiences and good practices. But it is also interesting to know what the other faculties are doing in the field of internationalisation.

Policy advisor on internationalization. Main tasks include advising the board on internationalization possibilities in the curriculum, which institutes to connect with and why. I also advice students on the internationalisation possibilities within their education. At the same time I am trying to develop new programmes to do abroad. So basically I am the spider in the web off Internationalisation within the hospital departments.
