Graduate student with 7 years of case management experience working primarily with survivors of domestic violence, children and families involved with the child welfare system, and individuals experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. My work in these specialties has provided me with significant experience with individuals living with severe mental illness, substance addiction, physical or mental disability, and history of incarceration. While currently enrolled in Wayne State University’s Advanced Standing Master of Social Work program, my focal areas include integrated health, behavioral health, and substance use; trauma, stress, and violence; social work in criminal/legal settings; and research and evaluation. Upon graduation I intend to combine interpersonal practice, mezzo/macro advocacy, and utilize a trauma-informed, client-centered approach to service provision to my community. As a recipient of the 1914 Stipend program through the State of Michigan, I will be seeking a clinical, behavioral health role in a public-facing setting following completion of my master's degree in April 2025.
