If you can dream it, you can do it - Walt DisneyHealthcare systems around the world face the same problems: how to sustainably manage a high performing, efficient system given the changing demographics, budgets, technological advances, market forces and demand patterns? My work sits squarely in the middle of the payer, provider and government/regulator triangle. I lead strategic projects for both state and local government agencies to design new healthcare policies that are data driven and future-oriented and for providers to help prepare for the new healthcare landscape of tomorrow. A key theme in the projects that I run is that they are all focused on improving care for those that need it, with a particular focus on vulnerable and hard to reach populations. In my role as Principal I am responsible for client acquisition, project delivery, team building, recruitment and the publishing of thought leadership papers. My portfolio centers on strategic and operational consulting for hospitals and regulators on Alternative Payment Models, Health Equity, large-scale Healthcare Transformations and Care System Redesign and Quality Improvements. Examples of engagements that I have lead are: KPMG's work on the New York State Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program, Supporting the California Department of Health Care Services Population Health Management initiative, Drafting the Massachusetts Opioid Strategic Plan, Managing the HHS Health Equity Initiative during the COVID-19 pandemic, Managing the closure and redistribution of care for various regional hospital wards in the south and north of the Netherlands, Designing a new value-based payment system for selected chronic diseases in the west of the Netherlands.I love the challenge of looking beyond the accepted framework to find the perfect solution to a complex problem.
