PhD economist Evelyn Murphy is founder and President of The WAGE Project, Inc. established in 2003 as nationwide grass roots nonprofit dedicated to eliminating the gender wage gap in America. WAGE salary negotiation workshops for women, initially designed and delivered by WAGE are now being provided to 10 million women by the American Association of University Women., while WAGE focuses on efforts to eliminate racial and gender biases under employers’ roofs. Murphy has worked at senior levels of state government and business, a corporate director, frequent media commentator, and author. As Lieutenant Governor, she was the first women elected to constitutional office in Massachusetts' 200 year history.
