I'm an Academic Advisor for Biology majors and am a graduate of Purdue (Forestry and Natural Resources). I was in the Purdue All American Marching Band -- GO AAMB!! -- and music has always been a big part of my life. I was a Field Biologist for nine years at an environmental consulting firm where I documented environmental impacts related to proposed road projects in Indiana and Kentucky. In that job, I appreciated the balance between field experience, serving on multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating with federal/state agencies, and working with the public. In addition, I’m an ordained minister. I served as an Associate Pastor for 12 years and have the privilege of continuing ministerial work in various capacities. For me, Advising certainly involves helping students develop an academic plan and navigate campus life, but it's much more than that. My goal is to assist students in clarifying and meeting their goals. I enjoy getting to know my students and hope to encourage them to be resilient, to discover their passions, and to embrace their calling.
