Paula Murphy has been a friend, resource and colleague. As a reading educator, principal and president and director of the Mass.Reading Ass. I have always been able to call/email Paula about a need or concern. Her response is immediate and she is ahead of the curve in recommending literacy and content area materials and speakers. This week Paula sent me two flyers on materials for RTI (Response to Intervention) in reading and math. The teachers with were delighted to receive the information. Paula recognizes the need and contributes significantly to the professional development for teachers throughout the state. Adolescent Literacy has been an area of concern. Paula has provided experts in this area to present research and practice on Adolescent Literacy and distributed samples of quality materials Communicating and working with Paula is always a pleasure. Her friendly smile and willingness to go the extra nine yards to share her expertise and knowledge are her landmarks.
