I am currently entering my third year at the University of Guelph as a Biomedical Sciences major with the hope of also joining the paramedics program at Conestoga in January 2025.Prior to COVID, I volunteered mainly at recreational centers. I worked mostly with pool employees, assisting them with their daily activities as lifeguards or swim instructors. During this time, I gained lifeguarding certificates and also took many lifesaving courses throughout the summer to gain some experience in healthcare so I can assist others. Throughout COVID, I worked at Rens Pets, a retail shop selling animal products. I spent about 2 years here, learning many skills such as customer service, being a team player, organizational skills, and many more.I have reached my goal of volunteering at the Guelph General Hospital in many departments. I have also been granted the opportunity of a volunteer clinic placement through a program at my university.
