A graduate of the University of Southern California, I became involved in trauma and play therapy while at UCLA's Department of Pediatrics. Transitioning to private practice in 2003 I continue to work with Posttraumatic Stress Disorder as an EMDR Certified Therapist. I also serve adults, children and adolescents with Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Eating Disorders, and ADD/ADHD, as well as individuals and families with grief and loss, stage of life/adjustment, couples/marital, behavioral, attachment, domestic violence and abuse issues.An innovative therapist seeking new forms of research based effective treatments to ensure that my clients achieve optimal well-being, I have a multifaceted approach allowing each individual to achieve their therapeutic and personal goals. My focus is on seeing my client's experiences from their perspective and helping them to explore and discover new understandings that promote personal growth and healthy relationships. My therapeutic approach is emotionally and cognitively focused and utilizes EMDR, Brainspotting, Jungian Sandplay, Mindfulness, spirituality and other neurobiological approaches. I am on the Board of Directors of the EMDR International Association, member of the Association of Play Therapy and Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association. I have served as a guest speaker on trauma and abuse, child development, cross-cultural and transracial adoption, behavior modification and parenting strategies.
