Hello, there! I'm Evelyn.In 2022, I graduated from UCLA with a BA in Political Science and a minor in U.S. History. I was drawn to my major because of my passion for social issues such as our changing climate, the cycle of poverty, healthcare inequalities, mass incarceration, and the achievement gap in schools-- all of which I had the pleasure of studying as an undergrad. While attending class full-time, I also held various roles in retail settings. Through these early career experiences, I learned how to thrive in a fast-paced environment, interact with people from all walks of life, rapport build, and how to function as part of a team. Since graduating, I have held roles in education as a paraeducator, substitute teacher, and tutor. I have found it incredibly rewarding and impactful to work with children across LA and OC. Moreover, I have unlocked a deep passion for working with students that face behavioral or academic challenges. Throughout my roles in educational settings, I have expanded my abilities to adapt to new situations, problem solve in the moment, and stay organized and level-headed in times of unpredictability.Currently, I am seeking job opportunities that can offer professional and personal growth. I am excited to find my next career path and network with wonderful people along the way.
