Evelyn Brito is a dynamic and creative producer, writer, and event organizer with over 18 years of experience in crafting impactful and successful events. Known for her storytelling and communication skills, she is passionate about developing innovative and engaging experiences that resonate with audiences. Evelyn is also a Dyslexic Thinker, which is a way of solving problems, analyzing information, and learning commonly used by those with dyslexia. This method includes recognizing patterns, understanding space, thinking creatively, and effectively communicating with others.Evelyn has orchestrated major corporate gatherings and production projects, including TJX’s Employee Resource Group (ERG) events, the Men of Color Leadership Conference, and the Women of Color Conference across Boston, New York, and New Jersey. These initiatives focus on fostering diversity and inclusion in the workplace while offering employees a platform to share experiences, learn, and build strong relationships.In her previous role as Studio Manager and Event Producer for GBH, Evelyn launched two community series: Lounge Thursdays and Outspoken Saturdays, featuring diverse vocal performances at the Boston Public Library. She managed all aspects of these events, from artist bookings and promotions to production coordination, successfully growing these series into key components of GBH’s programming.Currently, Evelyn is a freelance producer for Anawan Studios and the writer and executive producer of Bodega Makeover. In these roles, she brings her creative vision to life by helping other productions thrive while continuously pushing her storytelling boundaries.Evelyn is also the co-founder and board president of The Secret Society of Black Creatives, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering Black and Brown filmmakers through networking, education, advocacy, and job opportunities.
