My role:- Working with the on-trade to drive the sales of our wines, through new and existing business. - Managing and maintaining interesting but profitable wine lists for our customers. - Presenting our wines, the wineries we work directly with and hosting tastings with new and existing customers. - Building and maintaining relationships with our partners and customers. - Promoting and growing our brands/own labels- Developing opportunities to generate business through cold calls, sought meetings and representing Grape Passions through events. - Hosting wine tasting events for both on and off trade customers - Conducting staff wine training- Working closely with administration staff within Grape Passions, ensuring deadlines are met and accounts managed appropriatelyArea - Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire

Wyken Vineyards is a family run business with an award-winning restaurant, shop, gardens, farmers' market and vineyard that produces award-winning wines.During and after the pandemic, my task was to redevelop, streamline and achieve economic recovery for the business. My main achievement was to redevelop a unprofitable venue in the business. Renamed as “Wyken Pizza”, I helped achieve a record breaking increase in revenue through strategic business development and capital investment. After the success of ‘Wyken Pizza’, my next task was managing the restaurant. I assisted with developing a whole new day to day structure for the business, including: brand redevelopment, operational change and recruitment. With new budget targets and the business restructured, I increased spend per head twofold and achieved the new targets for both wet and dry sales. Through the restructure, I also reduced labour costs by a thirs. I left this role, was to pursue my interest in the wine trade. Using my business experience, combined with my wine knowledge (self taught during the pandemic with WSET) I stabilised the restaurant into a position that would allow me to resign from this role to fulfil my career goals.
