Comm. Hewlett is in his fifth year of retirement from the Superior Court of San Francisco. He is available to act as a Discovery Referee and mediator. He is known to attorneys who appeared before him for his focus, efficiency, intelligence and for his knowledge of discovery law. Commissioner Hewlett earned a reputation for fair, evenhanded rulings during his 17 years in the Civil Discovery Department, where he heard motions ranging from the simplest to the most complex, including document intensive cases, class action and business litigation.
