Challenged with creating the supply chain infrastructure for Mexico operations as company continued to grow. Directed team of four supply chain analysts and 200 vendors while managing replenishment, inventory processes, and distribution centers.IMPACT: Built the Mexico supply chain infrastructure from the ground up, leading rebranding of products in Spanish, ensuring compliance with country regulations to facilitate import, and enabling transport of products to stores. Developed process for product nationalization, eliminating duties, reducing broker and transportation costs ~40%, and increasing outbound efficiency. Created new store transfer process, reducing labor and overstock in existing stores and maximizing capital. Introduced 20,000+ new parts to distribution center and increased in-stock position of top 2,000 items to record-level highs while maintaining required inventory levels. Reduced dead and excess inventory by $4M as leader of cross-functional team.
