As a bioinformatics director and project manager at the University of Pennsylvania, I lead a team of bioinformaticians to drive research projects for commercial and academic clients focused on human retroviral and AAV gene therapies. With more than 15 years of experience in bioinformatics and structural biology, I have developed and deployed informatic pipelines for evaluating virus integration patterns, tracking the emergence of SARS-Cov-2 variants, analyzing RNAseq profiles, and evaluate more than 15 human gene therapy trials. I have managed large scale production pipelines, research programmers, and research projects spanning multiple disciplines including human gene therapy, molecular biology, protein science, and structural biology. I have authored and co-authored more than 65 peer-reviewed publications in the fields of protein science, gene therapy, and bioinformatics.
