As Fundraising Coordinator, I work to support, inspire and encourage our community to fundraise for us, encouraging repeat involvement and higher targets. I help to plan and manage our big fundraising and outreach events and organise our community challenges (34k Challenge).I work to support the CEO with grant applications by monitoring grant deadlines and identifying new grants to apply for.I also develop and manage our donor and fundraiser database, seeking to cultivate and manage relationships with key partners and supporters. I assist my manager to plan and deliver digital communication strategies which seek to drive engagement amongst our community, support fundraising and raise awareness. I also help support the team in creating engaging content for use on our social media channels, website and printed materials. I also lead on keeping up to date with government policy and government influencing, and attending relevant events representing the charity such as the APPG on Suicide Prevention and Self Harm.I help produce analysis of our fundraising and marketing activity and performance and use insights to inform our strategy.

Led the end-to-end implementation of the university-wide initiative on ‘Industrial Action Compensation’.Managed all enquiries to the University of Exeter’s Industrial Action inbox, providing exceptional customer service to students demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills.Directed administration for the Industrial Action Compensation Scheme Microsoft 365 Database, refining its functionality to enhance accuracy.Contributed to the preparation and presentation of statistical data and reports, exemplifying a strong capability to work analytically.Employed excellent attention to detail when handling financial and analytical data with a strong focus on risk management and error handling.Generated weekly budget updates for senior management.Received the ‘Above and Beyond’ employee recognition award for excellent contributions to the University’s success.

Conducted environmental policy research on the barriers towards the realisation of seed sovereignty in Scotland, with a special emphasis on the impact of Brexit on developing food systems and heterogenous seed marketing in the UK. Met with leading grass-root organisations such as Scotland the Bread and The Gaia Foundation Seed Sovereignty Programme to gather research.Produced a policy report synthesising findings with recommendations on changes to UK legislation surrounding heterogeneous seed marketing laws.
