CtoVenum B.V. 2009 - Aug 2020In 2009 we founded Venum BV. The main target of this company was to upgrade and maintain an existing CRM kind of software solution for Real Estate agencies, or create a new, derived product.Soon after the technical due diligence it became clear that it would be a waist of time to upgrade and we started to create a new, Microsoft Silverlight based application.The product development became my main responsibility. With a team of developers and designers the product Venum was created. The product assist the realtor with all his daily work: maintain tasks and appointments, contacts, real estate properties, generate evaluations and contracts (mail-merge) and even billing is implemented.Venum was a replacement product, so within one month after the release (01-01-2011) it was already used by over 800 Real Estate agencies. After some start-up issues we manage to get the product stable and soon Venum was used by over 1.000 agencies.In 2017 Venum was replaced by Kolibri: the only API First Real Estate Platform in the Netherlands. It's unique because of it's features, specially designed for this target group. Besides newsletters users are able to send personalized SMS messages ("Hey John, one free beer for you tonight! Just show this text message") and the Hyves Events app. In this app a cartoon person announces the events of the club (Text To Speech).It was my responsibility to develop a easy maintainable platform with no scalability issues. Within 12 months after the release of the product we defeated our biggest Dutch competitor in number of websites.In 2011 we decided to focus on Real Estate and postponed any new development on the Bibito platform.
