Working on replacing the : Universal Content Manager" package within the GPS application with the "Web Content Center" package. This involved many performance tests executed at various technological and functional levels.

During a major incident due to an error in a Microsoft Samba update less than 50 percent of the gross available seats (6000) were realy available to personnel. Since the change that was responsible for this impediment was packaged in a virtual disk update already delivered to the customer without the possibility o a roll-back we needed to find the root cause while trying to keep the systems running. By simulating the entire population in a Login VSI setup we were able to pinpoint the culprit in an inadequate SAMBA implemtation. This crisis and it's aftermath lasted some three months.

Leading the sales effort and convincing top management at the Dutch Public Prosecutor's office of the necessity to improve the load and perfromance testing proces for their main application. This so called GPS system is the backbone of the Dutch Justice system. It is present in every courtroom in the Netherlands to facilitate judges and prosecutors alike. It is a combination of a document management system and a workflow system, that makes sure dutch law is applied as it should.

While developing a Load & Perfromance test set for a new application I ended up investigating the situation with regards to the existing Load & Perfromance testing one of the core applications of of the Dutch Justice system. After the investigation I wrote a proposal to redesign and rebuild the existing tests.This was the beginning of a long term relationship between me and the "Openbaar Ministerie".
