As the Global head of Regulatory and Legal Affairs I secure and strengthen the regulatory assets and legal position of the company. The assets are registration, certifications, licenses, trademarks, patents and others.I organise and professionalize the corporate and global regulatory affairs team by providing training, introducing policies and securing team building. By doing this I will bring the team in a strategic place in the organisation to facilitate decision taking. I manage a global team of about 25 professionals.The broad product portfolio ranging from beneficial insects, to pollinators, biostimulants, organic fertilizers, adjuvants, basic substances and biological crop protection products require different sets of skills where the positive story should bring us closer to politics, authorities, farmers and the public.

Sustainability consulting on REACH, safety data sheets, waste, CLP...

As a member of the Sustainable Development department, I am responsible for the implementation and the follow up (inter)national legislations (REACH,CLP,Waste) regarding the characterization and “classification” of materials for different legal entities within the Metallum group. I consult, support and sensitize the management, department heads and operators concerning material classifications, risks and impacts related to working with the materials on-site. Since 2012 I am acting as the Chair of the Intermediates working group of the Copper REACH Consortium.As an active participant in international working groups (i.e. Eurometaux, OVAM...) I exchange knowledge with my peers to prepare the implementation (of changes) of the different European guidelines and regulations (i.e. Site emissions, IED, GEHS, waste, conflict free minerals, Green Public Procurement, EPD...).An important achievement is the change of perception towards legislation, the set-up of a due diligence system with regard to responsible sourcing and getting the final certification for being a conflict free smelter.

Guest lecturing on project management to Master students.

Using the experience I gained at SGS I am now working as project and consortium manager. As a consortium manager I guide a group of companies towards the registration deadline where I lead a team of experts, follow-up on the budget and strategies used. I am also spending >10% of my time on business development! I also follow-up non-EU REACH initiatives (Korea REACH, Russian REACH, Turkish REACH...)

3 years commercial development and extension of REACH and safety data sheet services for SGS. New business was established and reached +500k€/year and team growth of +3 FTE. In those 3 years I trained/guided + 1500 people from different industries (pharma, automotive, oil, metals...).Set-up of OR services for non-EU customers.
