This position is a leading role in producing all aspects of the programme at Pallas Projects and a key role in supporting the directors as assistant curator, especially for the Open Call 2019: Artist-Initiated Projects at PP/S. It involves liaising with artists, conducting necessary research, working with Pallas Projects’ communications assistant to oversee content for – website, social media and advertising, conducting research for fundraising and to support funding applications, supporting the production of fundraising auctions, including catalogue design and production, as well as overseeing and programming the work of gallery technician.The role demands a great interest in arts and culture, in particular contemporary art; maintaining high motivation and enthusiasm is a must. This position demands curatorial leadership and programme delivery skills as well as an ability to adopt a strategic approach and the ability to take the initiative when necessary. Day to day this involves utilising office software such as Excel, Word, etc. and visual software such as Photoshop and desk top publishing, with sufficient skill to design and produce professional-standard catalogues. I also promote and support the programme at Pallas Projects through a range of social media platforms.

Skills Requirements The intern should be interested in arts and culture-in particular contemporary art. They must be motivated and enthusiastic and be able to take the initiative when necessary. The candidate will need to be highly motivated and tenacious. Someone who is familiar with social medai platforms and who can work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will be proficient in visual software such as Photoshop. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following: office software, database management, promotions, communication protocols, health and safety, and social media and web based skills. On completion the intern will have attained skills in website updating, work flow management, visual assets management and tuned up their skills in general visual communications.
