I am a Rosalyn Carter Fellow for Mental Health Journalism and the Benjamin Von Sternenfels Rosenthal Grantee for Investigative Journalism this year. I am currently reporting on mental health care for inmates in Georgia. This will be the second season of Prison Town, an investigative podcast. In the first season, we decided to use one prison in South Georgia as a case study while Geogria's prisons were in the midst of a federal investigation for civil rights violations. The things we found are chilling. An 88-year-old man is shot while he’s sleeping. Another man is murdered one county over. A woman is found dead in a mobile home park. We followed the murders on the outside and linked them back to the same prison, illuminating many of the complex problems that plague our criminal justice system. The first season explored the rise in violence and issues around contraband and understaffing. The second season will explore issues around mental health.

I currently teach visual production classes at Mercer University's Center for Collaborative Journalism. I also produce local reporting for our partner publications. My investigative documentary Saving Juliette is screening on PBS. My latest investigation is a Peabody-nominated podcast called Prison Town.

I managed the social media accounts and developed a communication strategy for two seasons of Atlanta Streets Alive, the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition's open streets initiative. We broke attendance records at our 8.8 mile Cross-City route, will nearly 145,000 people in attendance.

I created and scheduled content for social. I created two successful weekly video campaigns that upped our engagement: Monday Motivation included people talking about what motivates them each week and Wanderlust Wednesday highlighted individual students and included edited clips of videos they made on their trips. I also used social to start conversations and engage with our audience surrounding current events. I did market research and consulted on the usability and design for the Rustic Pathways Foundation website, creating a list of actions that could easily enhance the usability of the site. I updated, wrote and edited over 120 program listings on referral websites to drive traffic back to Rustic Pathways.

I shot and produced in-house videos, including 'Facing Risk' which was a finalist for a 2017 short documentary CINE award. I grew our Instagram to more than 60k followers making it our largest social media following. I managed interns, curated exhibits including Daniella Zalcman's Signs of Your Identity at Photoville and also at FotoWeekDC at National Geographic's headquarters, and participated in education events including speaking on a panel at the Northern Short Course photojournalism conference.

I shot and produced in-house videos, piloted an "Education Gateway" series, curated Photoville and DCFotoWeek exhibits, started the Pulitzer Center Instagram and gained 16k followers in the first year, designed an e-book about Syrian Refugees, designed info-grafics, managed multimedia interns, spoke to students from middle school - university level, and led a team of high school students to create their own film in Chicago.

I worked on documentary videos that ranged from 3 minutes to 45 minutes on their campaigns related to criminal justice and racial discrimination. Videos were shown to politicians, shared on social media and one was picked up by the AFL-CIO on their criminal justice campaign. I also wrote blog posts and media advisories. I helped raise $20,000 for their internship program.

I worked as a photographer for a daily newspaper covering everything that happened in Elkhart County, including spot news, sports, profiles and features.

I worked for UGAA covering the school's 21 sports and uploading photo galleries on a short deadline after each covered event.

I photographed camp for the website and for marketing materials for the summer of 2011 and 2013. I helped manage the website. I also taught both digital photography and black and white photography to campers from 9 - 15 years old.
