I studied molecular mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease using interdisciplinary approaches such as biophysical methods (dynamic light scattering, isothermal titration calorimetry, thermophoresis); confocal microscopy and flow cytometry in conjunction with mammalian cell culture; histochemical analysis of brain tissue from transgenic mice.The results of the work are published in 8 manuscripts (5 first-author) and were presented at 5 international meetings.

Short-term fellowship in Receptor Biochemistry Lab under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Michael Hollmann.Funded by a grant I received from DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service). In Prof. Hollmann's lab I learned how to use electrophysiology in X. laevis oocytes to study neuronal receptors and later published a first-author paper based in part on the results obtained during the visit.(Barykin et al., Cells, 2019)
