On arrival at Rigsite----------------------------Meet with Company Representative, Mud Engineer, Bit Engineer, Geologist, Tool Pusher and discuss:- Planning works-Elevations distances-Geographical location (latitude & longitude)-Grid System, Gravity & magnetic reference-North reference and Tie-on-Magnetic interference-Surveying interval-Shape of the well and Interval of high level of separation factor-BHA details-Bit nozzles-Mud properties-LCM limits for the tools-Planning sections depths and diameters-Casings size and depths-Maximum ROP expected-Length of run-Tool memory and battery constraints-Safety working conditionsResponsibility of Engineer:Pre run-----------------------------Using lengths of L/MWD tools and mud properties from Mud Engineer calculate parameters of flow gear to make up L/MWD system.-Perform all necessary tests and make up M/LWD system.-Download required data into sensors, initialized all tools and perform function test to be convinced of functionality of all tools & sensors.-Installing all rig-based equipment, such as Depth Encoder, Transducer, Intercom, DDU (driller display), Hookload, Pump stroke Counter, In-Slips and etc.-Entered all required data into PC. Most important - Offsets values, scale factor & API calibration factor for gamma-ray sensor, sensor distances. During run----------------------------- Monitor depth and ensure T/D array stays accurate and correct- Update environmental parameters- Prepare logs as needed and sent logs to Customer- Perform Surveys and verify their accuracy- In case of failure to notify superiorsPost Run------------------ Read tool, process data and check for errors and prepare final logs and reports as necessary, present to customer representative- Perform post run tests- Visually inspect tools for damage- Prepare paperwork as necessary
