At Rhythm Espresso, I am a supervisor of NDIS-supported workers, teaching them both work- and social skills. Besides that, as a Food Safety Supervisor, it is my job to make sure the cafe is up to Food Safety regulation standards. I am also in charge of ordering goods and supplies and promoting the business on social media by creating engaging posts. Working in a café, it is part of my job to make sure our customers get impeccable service and are served quickly. I prepare quality food and drinks for our customers to enjoy and update the menu with new items when needed.

As a Deli Assistant at IGA Wurtulla, I was responsible for helping customers get the food they’re after. I was also responsible for slicing meat, making sure the deli looked good and full at all times and making sure our products looked amazing at all times. I made sandwiches, wraps and rolls on a daily basis as well. Besides this, I helped out on register if needed, to make sure our customers got the fast service they deserve. Furthermore, I made sure the deli stayed clean, made sure the dishes were done properly, the floors were clean and the storage rooms stayed clean. I also kept a close eye on all dates, making sure no products were out of date or on the verge of going out of date.

As a supervisor at Banjo’s Warana, I made sure all staff knew what they had to do and when they had to do certain jobs. As a supervisor, I was also well-trained in closing shifts and the administrative jobs that come with it, like closing- and counting the tills and making sure the end-of-day financials are correct and balanced out; restocking the packaging and drinks in the store; making sure the milk order is put through in time and making sure that – after I leave – the store is clean and ready for the next day.Besides this, as a sales assistant, I was responsible for the selling of our goods to our customers, making sure they got served as fast and good as possible, and making sure they left the store with the products they were after, and a smile on their face. This didn’t just include bread and pies, but coffees as well. It was my job as a sales assistant to make sure all products were visually appealing – merchandising them well and restocking items – and to make sure the store was as clean as possible at all times.

During my time as a Night Receptionist / Night Guard at Fletcher Hotel Rosmalen, I operated the hotel reception during the nights (11pm-7am), dealing with guests (check-in and check-out) and guest queries/complaints. I also toured and inspected all areas of the hotel, making sure everything was up to safety standards. I maintained the public areas as well, making sure they were clean and ready for the next day. I was also in charge of balancing all financials at the end of my shift.

I started at Fletcher Hotel Rosmalen as a waitress in their restaurant. I always worked the morning shift, working from 7.00am-3.00pm. During my shift, I was responsible for opening the bar and the restaurant of the hotel, making sure that both hotel guests and visitors coming from outside the hotel got everything they wanted during breakfast and lunch hours. I was also responsible for getting the restaurant ready for dinner, setting tables and making sure both breakfast and lunch buffets were both set up and cleaned up properly. Lastly, usually made sure the bar was tidy and cleaned well according to health regulations

As a Secretary, I was the primary point of contact for both our writers and our subscribers. I was also responsible for getting the magazine printed and sent out in time. I also made up a new subscriber log in Microsoft Excel and kept it up to date. My time at the magazine made me very good at handling deadlines, and really taught me about contacting people in a professional way, and how to find the appropriate people to help get the job done.I was also responsible for taking notes during (editor) meetings.

As an editor for Desipientia, I was in charge of proofreading and editing the articles that were to be published in the magazine, making sure they were free of any errors, and making sure the information presented in the article was correct.
