MHFA’s vision is that everyone in Miami-Dade County has a safe and stable place to call home. The work is rooted in policy advocacy, collective action, and research. Current campaigns include affordable housing and youth homelessness. Work closely with the Executive Director on operations, negotiating contracts, human resources, programming, grant applications, and grant reporting. Manage social media and media relations. Speak at numerous community events on affordable housing solutions, best practices, and data. Directly supervise the Youth Program Manager, Policy + Strategy Analyst, Administrative Manager, and law clerks. Educate various state and local representatives and agencies on affordable housing and youth homelessness issues. Served as an expert witness in the City of Miami v. Pottinger matter in federal court on a report prepared on the data regarding: the numbers of unsheltered individuals experiencing homelessness; the number of shelter beds in Miami-Dade County; the coordinated entry process; and, the nationally recognized challenges with the data.
