Good Afternoon, my name is Evie Beard and I am 17 years old. I recently graduated High School at Pioneer Technical Center in Madera, June of 2019. I believe that my self-motivation is what has caused me to challenge my abilities and graduate high school a whole year early. I can make myself available if I am needed and have a reputation for getting things done. I can admit when I am wrong and can control my temper and, I’m even open to constructive criticism. I can process and apply new skills and concepts quickly. Currently, I am a part-time student at Madera Community College Center, majoring in the field of Psychology. Psychology strikes as interesting to me, particularly because I am fascinated with how the human brain works but also because I have seen first-hand how therapy can positively impact the quality of life of someone struggling with a mental health disorder. Once I obtain my Bachelor's in Psychology, I see myself working with social service agencies, hospitals, or schools studying the connections between the human mind and behaviors.
