Hello, I’m Evie. Since May 2021 I live in Tel Aviv, this is after seven years in London.I love working with young audience in different ways. It can be creating visual content such as children’s books but can also be conversing about artworks in museums or exploring through play with ideas, shapes and colours.For many years now I have been working in Museum Learning and since March 2020 I also run my own zoom workshops with regular groups of children. This is important to me in order to remember how to create authentic work, as the children remind me of that, and so I keep this communication alongside my illustration and visual storytelling work, as sort of an emotional guideline. I love working with children’s theatres, creating promotional illustrations as well as story and play shows. However I also love working with personal commissions as I feel that this is when my work touches people’s personal stories. These days I work on a graphic novel for adults.My book “That night” has won the second place of Batsford Prize 2020-2021, People’s Choice Award category. My work was published in “The Strumpet” Magazine, “Home” Art Aid Nepal Anthology fundraising project and I won the 2015 House of Illustration Memorial Day competition, held by Camden Council.Languages: English, Hebrew, a bit of SpanishPortfolio: www.eviefridel.com
