About Evie King

I am the 2023 AFI Military Spouse of the Year, a proud leader, and wellness advocate, with experience engaging diverse groups in unlocking their purpose. I love connecting people, whether that is to health & wellness resources and support, or careers. My job at Command Holdings is to find exceptional professionals and hire them into roles that put good government into practice for our U.S. government clients. With my ability to build relationships and communicate effectively to candidates and hiring managers, I succeed in hiring tenacious and dedicated talent.My role at InDependent is to empower and enable my team to accomplish our mission of making wellness accessible for military spouses. InDependent is the only nonprofit exclusively dedicated to the well-being of military spouses. Before I joined the organization, I had never run social media campaigns, written blogs, networked with partners, or designed a website. Because the team gave me the opportunity to be curious and explore different skills, I continue to cultivate an environment of learning so our team of volunteers can work on their own personal growth.
