Within the marketing team, which covers multiple companies within the Hilton-Baird Group, I am responsible for SEO on the core websites. This includes auditing and actioning improvements as well as reporting on and reviewing the progress. I also look after the PPC advertising across multiple channels.I regularly plan and create content, including blogs, video content, graphic pdfs etc. During my time in this role, I have also taken on the project of designing and building a new website for one of the companies within the group.

Clearvision is a growing tech company, that sells software licensing and support. My role as marketing exec in the innovation department has evolved over time, initially focusing on growing and nurturing emerging products and partnerships, and then moving into marketing one primary offering, a technical contractor matching service. During my time at Clearvision, I have had the opportunity to grow my skills in many areas of marketing, including PPC, SEO, Content marketing and Social media.Working in a small, agile team has given me the chance to work on everything from blog writing, web design, email marketing and graphic design, to analytics, strategy creation and SEO.During my time at the company I have developed specialisms in PPC, leading the strategy, creation and development of Google Ads (formerly Adwords) and content creation, using my existing videography skills, knowledge of the adobe suite and writing skills to create a wide range of content.

Administrative role, dealing directly with customers. This position allowed me to demonstrate my organisational skills as well as my strong customer service skills, and has also helped me to develop a better knowledge of what is required to help a work environment run more smoothly.

This project involved working with Film Expo south to help produce a media package on and before the day of the 2017 film exposition. I was working with a team of students to produce content that promoted the event and get this out to the events Facebook, Twitter and Instagram feeds live on the day. My specific role on the day was video supervisor , leading a team of three other students to get video coverage of talks, networking and other events happening on the day. The footage was then being edited and posted in our media hub, where we had students managing the feeds and preparing content. On the day my main tasks involved ensuring there was someone to cover all areas of the event that we needed footage of and ensuring that my team were aware of where they needed to be at what times and what they should be doing. Despite changes to the schedule and plan throughout the day, this went smoothly and the team worked well together to get all the necessary footage. As well as this I also provided support to our video editor on the day, checked and reported on the quality of the footage coming back to ensure what we were producing was of a high standard, and even took the opportunity to get out on the floor and do some filming myself. This event provided great experience as it was the fist time I had the opportunity to manage a team in a live working environment, with the added pressure of the event being attended by many experienced filmmakers making the professionalism with which we operated more important. I had the chance at this event to get involved in many different aspects of the day and spent along time before the event preparing for it, giving me a good sense of all the work that goes into running the social media for a large scale event. The feedback post event was positive and as a team we were all very pleased with the way we had worked and the content we had produced.

I worked part-time at Portelet Kiosk for many years during my secondary school and later university studies. during my time working here I was able to develop excellent team working skills and the ability to communicate professionally and confidently with the public. The job role involved taking and preparing orders, waitressing, handling money and monitoring stock. During my time at this position I became a trusted member of the team, eventually being given responsibilities such as training new members of staff and supervising the running of the Kiosk when my boss was away.

I briefly worked at Phoenix Premiere Acquisitions during my first year at university, as an Event sales assistant. With this role I had training in sales and gained a lot of experience working directly with the public. This position improved the attitude with which I tackled a difficult working environment and taught me how to effectively handle difficult situations in the workplace.

Working part time at Marine and General alongside my studies involved serving the public, cleaning and restocking the shop, dealing with customer requests over the phone and working with local businesses as well as general consumers. This job improved my problem solving skills as I often had too find solutions to difficult situations. It also shows my adaptability to working within an environment outside of my comfort zone.
