About Dr. Eve M.

I am experienced and have a special interest in Special Educational Needs, disadvantaged children and young people and culturally responsive practice. Interested in equitable access, improving outcomes and facilitating the process of breaking down barriers through joint problem-solving with stakeholders.I have a strong early years background and vast experience in working with children and young people. I am a postgraduate researcher and co-author of a published paper on the impact on families of raising a child with Cytomegalovirus (CMV) in British Medical Journal Paediatrics Open.My thesis explored Emotional Literacy Support Assistants’ (ELSAs) cultural responsiveness in their role working with CYP in UK schools. The aim of the research is to contribute towards the shaping of future nurture training, supervision and provision in this area.The literature review explored the use of culturally responsive practices for fostering young people’s school belonging.
