A day working at TVB includes:Receiving: - When working at the receiving office, the first thing is to always check whatever was received the day before and go from there. On an average day, we receive anywhere between 50,000-150,000 pounds of blueberries. When receiving a truck, you have to make sure to weigh all the pallets, put the information on paperwork and in the system, as well as make sure they are placed in the right coolers and the information is on the board corresponding to the cooler. This position includes knowing different software and systems and paying close detail to the different varieties of fruit, fields, farms, machine of hand-picked, organic or conventional, etc.

While working here as a hostess, I have learned a lot. Part of my job is greeting people and making sure that they have a great experience while dining with us. I make sure that the guests are seated at the correct tables and that they know how to navigate the restaurant. Another part of my job is setting up the table for the correct amount of guests as well as constantly checking and freshening up the ladies' restroom.

The Fireside Cafe was located in The Woodlands UMC. At this job, I learned not only the role of a cashier, but I also learned how to make peoples food orders as well as being a barista.

This was a family owned business that was located in the Kentucky Exposition Center. At this job, I had to take people orders as well as bring it to them. Since the job was at an Exposition Center, every week was different because one week there could be a car show and the next, a livestock one.
