When the pieces of the puzzle fall into place, a logical simplicity in mode of action is revealed. It is magical!I started my career in the laboratory where we built on “tricks” to set up biological assays and discover new targets. I enjoyed the challenge to unravel the steps that are necessary to obtain reliable scientific data and by achieving this with the least amount of effort, money and resources. My desire for efficiency helped me to set-up a service group that focused on delivering in vitro pharmacology results. I designed processes and system tools that streamlined data exchange with the customer. Later on I changed professional focus and took the role of project coordinator. This allowed me to support my scientific counterparts to uphold strong external vendor commitments. Furthermore I developed a wide variety of highly cross-functionaI processes that liaised the needs of shared services with the needs of scientific staff.Holding the PMP certification and a 6sigma lean green belt, I strive to do better with each new challenge that comes my way.
