Armoire boutique is the flagship store for the womens wear label, Armoire Apparel. It is a concept store that houses Armoire Apparel and emerging fashion accessories brands from different countries that is not accessible to the Malaysian market. Armoire Apparel has been founded in November 2010 with the tagline to engineer the perfect dress. The brand is a sheer representation of feminism, individualism and self-confidence.I developed the womenswear label #ArmoireApparel from development stages (design, drafting, sampling) including having an in-house production team to brand positioning, marketing and distribution channels through brick and mortar stores in Asia Pacific.

Fashion beach festival is a fashion party exhibiting lifestyle and fashion brands through a vibrant line up of fashion showcases. Fashion Beach Festival wants an art director to conceptualise the fashion showcase direction. I was appointed to the team as their show producer to pull the team together for a successful one day event in Singapore.

TFH & CO. PTE. LTD. was a company that developed premium fashion platform for emerging fashion designers and established designers to showcase their designs to the world. I co-founded the company with a business partner to address the business opportunity I noticed while overseeing Armoire Apparel’s expansion. There was no proper platform for emerging designers to shine among the established brands in asia.

Skills Acquired: Product research and development, Sourcing, Price Comparison, Sales Pitch, Marketing Strategy and Planning.Joined K&Z creating design proposals for various EU & US buyers by handling product development, working closely with sample room technical engineers, pattern makers and sewers; the team work provided me with the skill acquisition in garment construction which ensured the right sample fit for the different buyer’s requirements. My understanding in buyers’ branding and marketing positioning, seasonal trend forecasting, provided well prepared design proposals with cost minimisation in mind, win-win design sustainable product development for both K&Z and buyers in mind. During my time in K&Z, I worked closely with fabric mills from Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia to engineer and concocted pioneering fabrication; printing and embroidery suppliers (factories) – acquired a deeper understanding in the technique behind the different types of printing (and embroidery) on fabric, tags, cards; Merchandising skills while liaising with factories for Production lines, Quality Control and Shipping department.
