- Improve and maintain the Terminal Process Control system. TPC is a proprietary software for yard automation that classifies inbound cars based on the train blocks in which they belong as outbound trains are built. - Migrate Data between No SQL and SQL databases for short term and long term data regression analysis- Generate and export dynamic reports based off of user configs for evaluating device performance- Deploy webapps via Jenkins for on-premise servers and our private cloud- Maintain Java web applications within a Kafka cluster

Full-time contractor assigned to BNSF railroad. As a member of the Workforce application team we were tasked with migrating an Enterprise legacy system to a modern micro service application. My job allowed me to work directly on the front end and back end. Writing code from scratch and passing test cases assigned by our customer.

The class used python programming within the Visual Studios environment and utilized GitHub repository for assignment submissions. As an undergraduate instructor for the School of Informatics it takes a lot of time and commitment to ensure that all 200+ students are satisfied with their education. Problem solving, communication and time management are all key skills I utilized every day to accomplish a successful class. I never knew when and what problems a student might have. Meaning I had to always know what questions to ask so I could extract all possible problems. I then had to have a solution for them that was easy to grasp for an introductory programmer. Finally, I had to complete all work, resolve all problems, and fix any issues before the next class. I found the job very rewarding not only from positively affecting people’s knowledge of computer science but it also improved my communication skills for future consulting positions.

Working for Coca Cola Consolidated made me constantly adapt to the ever changing factors of the merchandising world in order to stay on schedule. Such as shift changes, routes being blocked and customers taking precedence. Another adversity I had to face was the shear complexity of this company. Working for such a big company has shown me the real importance of being productive alongside my fellow workers. A system so large needs every part to be running at 110% and everyday I gave that to the company.
