As the Editorial Director at Gibbs Smith Education, I oversee the editorial, artistic, and curriculum design of all our programs and products, with a focus on K–12 social studies textbooks and resources. I have more than four years of experience in this role, and a Master of Education degree in curriculum design and instruction.I collaborate with various stakeholders, such as state historical societies, professors, cultural representatives, and social studies experts, to ensure our textbooks provide an accurate, well-rounded, and multi-perspective narrative of each state's history. I also develop robust and engaging curriculum that caters to different learning modalities, covers all levels of DoK, and includes formative, summative and self-assessments.
