Developed and implemented strategies for workforce development specific to creative industries by founding Film Ventura, Restaurant Week, Music Week, Nonprofit Sustainability Center, small business ombudsman program, recruited ongoing annual Craftcation conference, co-created De Colores Festival and produced City-sponsored cultural events such as the Big Read, Mayor’s Arts Awards and multiple craft festivals. Managed Cultural Affairs Commission, developed training and professional development for creatives, oversaw the City’s Cultural Funding program, created diversity initiatives, wrote and edited annual report and external communications
